Netflix will stream a live-action adaptation of ” One Piece“, one of the most beloved manga series, in 2023.
A first-look character teaser artwork of Monkey D. Luffy was also released by the company (see below). Netflix has yet to set a premiere date for “One Piece,” which was originally ordered in January 2020 as a 10-episode series.
The manga series Eiichiro Oda created “One Piece”, which is also the executive producer. announced that the Netflix series will feature Inaki Godoy playing Monkey D. Luffy and Mackenyu portraying Roronoa Zooro, Emily Rudd playing Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson portraying Usopp, and Taz Skylar playing Sanji. “One Piece” is about Luffy, a young pirate who sets out on a quest to become the king of the pirates and find the coveted “One Piece”.
McKinley Belcher III and Morgan Davies were also previously announced. According to Netflix, additional cast members will be announced in the future.
Tomorrow Studios and Netflix have partnered with Shueisha to produce “One Piece”. Matt Owens, Steve Maeda, and Steve Maeda serve as writers, executive producers, and showrunners. Executive producers include Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements.
Toei Animation also produced the manga series, which was released in 1997. It has since produced more than 1,000 episodes of the anime series “One Piece”. To date, 15 animated films based on “One Piece” have been released.
