These Hilarious Comic Strips Features Batman, Superman and Many More Superheroes

When Famous Funnies debuted in 1934, it republished comic strips. Superhero webtoons are an extension of the comic strip, famous in the early 20th century. Before TV and radio, people read comics or webtoons. Today, these comedies and adventure-driven comic strips popularized sequential storytelling utilized in comic books and webtoons.

Most effective strips twist a shared cultural experience with humor. Dilbert’s office comedy draws on everybody’s coworker experiences. Superheroes are so popular now that you can produce a lucrative comic strip on them. This is what Lucas Nascimento does in Dragonarte. Nascimento uses our knowledge of Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and other heroes to create humorous scenarios. Since Nascimento is Brazilian, he draws comics without speech, so non-Portuguese speakers can enjoy them. The lack of conversation shows how ubiquitous these people are.

What Is a Superhero in Comic Books And Webtoons?

Superheroes are fictional characters who have superpowers or abilities that are greater than those of regular people. They typically fulfill the role of a hero by using their powers to make the world a better place or by devoting their lives to battling crime.

Lucas Nascimento

Superhero fiction is a category of literature that focuses on such characters, primarily since the 1930s in American comic books, and now webtoons, and in Japanese manga and anime.

The First Comic Strips

The masked vigilante and the superhero concept of a secret identity were made popular by the 1903 British play The Scarlet Pimpernel and its sequels.

After that, pulp fiction characters with masks and costumes like Zorro (1919), Buck Rogers (1928), The Shadow (1930), Flash Gordon (1934), and comic strip heroes like the Phantom (1936) as well as non-costumed characters with super strength like the comic-strip characters Patoruzú (1928) and Popeye (1929).

The Golden Era

In the 1930s, the trends converged in some of the earliest superpowered costumed heroes like (1934) Mandrake the Magician, At the start of the Golden Age of Comic Books, there was Olga Mesmer (1937), followed by Superman (1938), and Captain Marvel (1939).

Although it is debatable exactly when the Golden Age of Comic Books began, most people agree that it did so with the publication of Superman in 1938.

The First Appearance of a Female Superheroine

Superheroes were prevalent in the 1940s; The Flash, Green Lantern, and Blue Beetle all made their debuts during this time.

The character Fantomah, created by writer-artist Fletcher Hanks as an ageless modern-day Ancient Egyptian woman with the ability to transform into a skull-faced creature with superpowers to battle evil, made her debut during this time period in Fiction House’s Jungle Comic #2 (Feb. 1940), credited to the pseudonymous “Barclay Flagg.”

Captain America’s Debut

A year before the Japanese government’s attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1940, Captain America also made his print debut. The superhero, which was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, served as the tangible representation of the American spirit during World War II.

Though preceded as a “patriotically themed superhero” by The Shield, Captain America immediately became the most prominent and enduring of that wave of superheroes during WWII.

The Silver Age of Comics

Osamu Tezuka ‘s manga Tetsuwan Atom, better known as Astro Boy, was first published in 1952. The protagonist was a robot boy that a scientist had created to replace his departed son. Astro Boy had tremendous abilities.

The Silver Age of Comics began in the 1950s. Batwoman, Supergirl, Miss Arrowette, and Bat-Girl were all introduced by DC during this time period; they were all female versions of well-known male superheroes.

The Token Female Character

It can be argued that the Marvel Comics teams of the early 1960s brought the biggest assortment of superheroes ever at one time into permanent publication. This refers to Spider-Man (1962), The Hulk, Iron Man, Daredevil, Nick Fury, Thor, etc.

The Avengers featured Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man, and Quicksilver. Typically the superhero super groups featured at least one female member, such as Jean Grey, Wasp, Scarlet Witch, and Invisible Girl.

Meet Lucas Nascimento

Popular Brazilian webtoon artist Lucas Nascimento posted his first comic strip back in 2013. Now his artwork has skyrocketed with 195k followers on Instagram and over 100k followers on Facebook, and his pop culture-inspired cartoons are appreciated all around the globe. Lucas is known as Dragonarte; his artistic moniker.

Lucas Nascimento

The artist creates short stories with the characters in his comic without dialogue so that his comics make all the sense. Lucas specializes in combining all the superheroes in the world in his webtoons. He includes Marvel and DC Comics universes. Occasionally, he adds series like Star Wars, Dragon Ball Z.

Lucas’ Comic Strategy

The Brazilian artist has previously shared with us what led him to this success. “I drew comics—long stories with text. But they did not have much reach (they were not very popular.) That’s when I decided to draw strips—short stories without dialogue with popular characters—so people from all over the world would understand the stories.”

Lucas Nascimento

The artist’s hilarious take on what our favorite pop culture characters are doing when no one’s watching. He imagined how famous superheroes looked and acted when they were little kids and how cool and adorable their babies would be. A mix of humor and endearment.

Crossover Between DC And Marvel

The most interesting part of Nascimento’s comics is that well-loved characters from completely different universes collide in one story which takes from 3 to 4 hours to illustrate depending on the complexity. “I like to make characters from different worlds meet. For example, DC heroes and Marvel heroes,” he said.

Lucas Nascimento

The artist says that his comic strips feature stories about his favorite heroes such as Spiderman, Batman, and the Hulk.” His ability to make these crossovers work is what makes the artist’s work so special and unique. Fans of both comic book universes can relate to the comic strips’ stories.

Not Safe at Home

One of the oldest strips drawn by Nascimento is a humorous take on the challenges posed by Spider-Man’s ability to swing through a city using his webs. It is clear that he attaches his webs to building walls and pulls himself forward!

Lucas Nascimento

However, what will happen if he starts shooting his webs at buildings and one of those buildings has an open window? In this particular comic strip, an innocent bystander had their face covered in spider webs and came dangerously close to being pulled out of their own window!

Daily life Dilemmas

The precise operation of Cyclops’ eye struts is a topic that causes many misunderstandings among webtoons and comic book readers! It even perplexes some of the people who write comic books, which is kind of funny. They appear to be fired out of his eyes, very similar to how Superman can see heat!

Lucas Nascimento

However, in reality, they are flares of a force that can cause concussions. When Cyclops tries to shave with his eye explosions, all he ends up with is a face full of caromed force when he fires at the mirror.

Batman VS. Spiderman

As part of running humor in his webtoons, Nascimento portrays Batman as a millionaire whose only superpower is that he is rich. In contrast, Spider-Man has “Parker luck” and, as a result, never has any money. Because of this, Nascimento will draw comics that contrast the two people’s lifestyle choices.

Lucas Nascimento

Even though Batman possesses hundreds of spare suits, Spidey is forced to create a new costume! It is since he has to fix a little tear in his Batsuit. In this scene, we witness how Batman enjoys fine dining in his mansion while Spider-Man is forced to eat on the run from the law.

Halloween Fiasco

Nascimento will frequently resort to simple absurdist comedy to amuse the reader. This Halloween-themed animation shows a group of young children getting into the spirit of the holiday by donning costumes and going door-to-door searching for sugar treats.

Lucas Nascimento

Ghost Rider, whose daily appearance is more terrifying than any costume anybody could devise, is seen among the trick or treaters. Despite this, he chose to be “fair” and cover up his fiery skull with the Ghostface disguise from the Scream movie so that he could be a part of trick or treating customs.

Important to be accessorized

In some parts of superhero designs, artistic liberty is widely recognized in webtoons and comic books. Batman’s cape, for instance, unfolds to an insane length on some pages while remaining regular length on others.

Lucas Nascimento

Likewise, while he is wearing his mask in Batman: The Animated Series, his pupils vanish. We reveal the behind-the-scenes reason for that appearing in this comic, as Batman just removes his pupils briefly when he transforms into Batman! When he returns to the Bruce Wayne guise, he replaces the pupils in his eyes. So, he must remember to keep the lenses handy.

Work Environment Policies

Spider-Man makes his way throughout New York City using the webs and the wall-crawling abilities regularly, as was mentioned before. Because of the kind of transportation that he utilizes, it is essential for the city he lives in to be in satisfactory condition.

Lucas Nascimento

For example, what would happen if he shot the web onto a signal pole that subsequently snapped in half? When he is climbing on the buildings, similar to how it is depicted in this animation, if the pane in the windows is not correctly positioned, it might lead to an embarrassing predicament for Spidey.

Quick Pat on the Back

One of the running gags that Nascimento frequently uses in his webtoons is the idea that Superman is unaware of just how powerful he really is. Therefore, he continues to accidentally hurt his comrades in the Justice League. As in the scene where he fractures Batman’s spine by giving him the Heimlich maneuver.

Lucas Nascimento

Similarly, he attempts to remove a bit of hot dog stuck in the Flash’s throat, but instead, he ends up sending his fellow hero hurtling across space! At least he successfully removed that chunk of a hot dog off his shirt!

Parallel Universe Twists

Goku is a fascinating character because of how much he is reminiscent of other well-known superheroes. This is made abundantly evident by Nascimento in the witty comparison between the early years of Goku and Wolverine’s time spent in Weapon X.

Lucas Nascimento

Goku has hair that stands on end. He was originally kind of short while being quite powerful, and he struggled with memory problems that prevented him from understanding his actual background. The similarities between these two heroes provide an entertaining point of comparison, given that Wolverine possesses all of these characteristics in his everyday life.

Super Humour

Batman frequently engages in combat in low light conditions, and he is skilled at making effective use of the surrounding shadows. Think about how many Batman comic books, webtoons, animations, and movies there are and how often Batman is hidden in silhouettes during action sequences.

Lucas Nascimento

Here Nascimento plays on the conventional Batman narrative by beginning the comic with an observation of criminals firing on Batman from the shadows. The prank is meant to be humorously self-referential. The unexpected part is that when the lights come on, Superman has his hands raised to appear like Batman’s cowl!

The Opposite Day

An additional one of Nascimento’s cartoons that leans closer toward dark humor depicts a shift between Spider-Man and structures. As was said previously, Spider-Man is well-known for his ability to swing from one building to another in New York City using his webs and for wall-crawling along the sides of buildings.

Lucas Nascimento

In this case, however, rather than the typical setup of Spider-Man climbing the wall of a skyscraper, it is an animated rendition of the building climbing up Spider-Man’s back! It is a sight that is entirely odd, but it is also so absurd that it is amusing.

Shake The Joker!

Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight became a legendary representation of the antagonist, earning him a posthumous Oscar Winner. Nevertheless, as much as fans adored Ledger’s portrayal of the Clown Prince of Crime, the jagged, tormented form of the Joker didn’t last too long.

Lucas Nascimento

In this comic series, we see a pretty funny clarification! It is about how Joker went from his traditional look to his more haggard presence in The Dark Knight in this comic series. To put it another way, Batman kept shaking him until he became that way! The ultimate Joker look was transformed into a circus joker.

The hammer belongs to Thor

Jason Aaron’s first plotline as Thor’s author, published in 2012, pitted Thor against a traitor who was attempting to wipe out all of the galaxy’s divinities. Once Thor conquered him, his opponent asserted that Thor’s victory had made the universe a worse place. Thor later discovered that this was indeed the case.

Lucas Nascimento

As a result, he was no longer capable of wielding Mjolnir, his legendary hammer. Thor faced a difficult situation after that. When Arthur from The Sword in the Stone, the Disney adaptation of the Excalibur legend, can also lift Thor’s hammer, he is even more depressed (shocked) in this cartoon!

Superman’s Nightmares

If you already possess superhuman powers, it’s easy to get carried away by the idea that you can help save anyone you wish by using them. As a result, when the protagonist comes across people he can’t save, he is saddened. There have been numerous instances in which superheroes have failed to protect the people they intended to save. It was always a close friend or family member.

Lucas Nascimento

It is too painful for Superman to have been unable to save Simba’s father in The Lion King. However, he fantasizes about how he would have protected the day in this comic if it had been “genuine.”

Spider-Man Junior

The idea of superhero movies visiting a medical center to see their toddlers is one of Nascimento’s most widely known visual gags. Furthermore, in almost every discussion, the protagonist’s child tries to demonstrate some distinguishing feature that makes it evident that they are the hero’s child. It’s a standard plot device to show a glimpse of a superhero’s personal life and link it to a baby who will save the universe in the future.

Lucas Nascimento

For example, Batman’s baby is attempting to hide on the rooftops of the delivery room. While Iron Man’s baby has built a fully armed crib, Spider-Man’s baby is already web crawling as a newborn, using nappies as his webs!

Gorgeous ring!

Nascimento’s signature move is to combine entirely diverse elements of mainstream culture into a hilarious version. For example, he made Woody Woodpecker try to eat Pinocchio, and he modeled Iron Man’s latest armor after R2-D2. This type of hilarious mash-up keeps readers interested, and it’s a lot of fun to watch the comedy unfold.

Lucas Nascimento

We see Gollum from The Lord of the Rings in this mix. He became so enamored with the “One Ring” that he effectively transformed from a regular hobbit Smeagol into the revolting Gollum. Gollum’s fascination with rings has extended to the Green Lantern power ring!

Shaving cuts on superheroes

Surprisingly, superheroes shaving with their powers are recurring in comic and webtoon strips. Superman utilizes his heat vision to trim, Wolverine utilizes his claws, and Batman, in theory, can cut the hair with a Batarang. This type of depiction demonstrates that superheroes, like everyone else, face everyday problems. In some ways, they’re no different from regular people.

Lucas Nascimento

Spider-adhesive is a type of adhesive that is used to stick things together. Spider-Man discovers to his dismay when attempting to imitate the other characters in this amusing strip, that man’s webs cannot be shaved. Nascimento receives a lot of mileage from the proposition that Spider-Man’s life is a complete disaster.

As always!

Wile E. Coyote -the luckless coyote who wants to keep attempting to catch the super-fast Roadrunner- collapses to his apparent downfall in the procedure. He is a fictional character with rotten timing! He will always find himself in a position where he cannot achieve success.

Lucas Nascimento

Wile E. Coyote is on his way to his demise when he is unexpectedly secured by Superman in this glorious mash-up. Our “hero” is improving, but just as Wile E.’s cruise missiles send him attempting to fly into wall surfaces. Superman’s rockets send them flying into a wall, shattering them flat.

Who is this phony?

Well, over the generations, Batman and Superman have frequently aided one another by impersonating each other. When both Superman and Clark Kent are required to attend the same ceremony, Superman often substitutes Batman for himself (or Clark Kent) to get more help with his phony persona.

Lucas Nascimento

Batman’s situation is frequently just so the protagonists can fool bad guys into believing they’re going to attack a non-superpowered Batman rather than end up with Superman. Spider-Man joins in the fun with carrot sticks for the Bat-cowl! It’s entertaining to see what will happen next to conceal their true identity from the rest of the world.

Not this time!

Each detail must be carefully orchestrated when starting to work on something as technologically sophisticated as Iron Man’s heavy armor. If something goes horribly wrong, people’s lives could be jeopardized. His arm failed to function properly on several occasions. Not going to lie. It is hilarious to see him struggle.

Lucas Nascimento

Throughout this comic series, we have seen how minor misjudgments can play a significant role when Iron Man’s armored sleeve flies toward him, as it does in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Still, it manages to miss his arm and whacks him in the face at this moment! “How come you’re hitting yourself?” is a legitimate question.

Is this the real Batman?

A percentage of Nascimento’s strands create upon each other, in the context that a punchline defined in one strip is followed up by an associated gag in the next. In this instance, he made a joke about the Thundercats’ emblem, which reflects light from Lion-Sword O’s of Omens, having most of the same characteristics as Batman’s Bat-Signal. As a result, Batman had to swap them out at one point.

Lucas Nascimento

In this comic, Lion-O gives it back by visiting Gotham City. Gotham City’s lawbreakers must have been completely perplexed. They made the Batman sign out of the Thundercats’ emblem to make it more entertaining.

Ruined uniform

The superheroes’ outfits were rebuilt by a computer system on Battleworld throughout the first Secret Wars. Apparently, the alien symbiote detention facility was conveniently located near the “costume repair machine.” Hence Spider-Man unintentionally let loose an alien onto his skin, mistaking it for a new uniform.

Lucas Nascimento

That alien, sooner or later, attempted to set up a long-term relationship with Spider-Man. He was able to break away, and as a result, the alien formed Venom by fusing with another individual. With such a troubling experience, it’s understandable that Spider-Man would be terrified if black oil was poured on him. It was a jumble of a mess.

Don’t open your mouth

Nascimento has many comic strips predicated on the theory that no one is considerably harder than Batman. In one crossover with Aliens, Superman has a goal: to burrow deeper into Batman’s chest.

Lucas Nascimento

When he regains consciousness, he is eased to discover that the Xenomorph exploding out of his chest is “hardly” a Xenomorph! When a Xenomorph tries to open its mouth to demonstrate its absolutely disgusting appendage, Superman responds by possessing Batman to emerge from his mouth. There is nothing more terrifying than Batman! One can imagine how terrible it was for Superman to go through it.

No more chasing!

Another other comedic cartoon combines Catwoman and Mickey Mouse by having the feline hero/villain pursue the Walt Disney Company’s recognizable comic strip emblem. Catwoman’s entire life had been a series of denials about life, which eventually came to an end. It’s quite incredible to see such!

Lucas Nascimento

In many aspects, this is just bringing a decades-old configuration to a rational end. It is where Catwoman has accepted her cat identity with all kinds of mixed metaphors, arms and ammunition, and gestures. There was even a point when she had nine lives! The Batman television series of the 1960s featured several episodes featuring Catwoman.

What are these parallels?

As previously stated, Goku is such a stereotypical hero that much of his backstory appears to be related to other action heroes. Goku and Superman are two of the most well-known examples of characters with similar characteristics.

Lucas Nascimento

Both Goku and Superman were sent from another planet in a spacecraft to Earth. On the other hand, Superman’s parents sent him to end up living among the Mortals. At the same time, Goku was dispatched by the Saiyans to overcome the planet! This comic implies that they may have passed each other on their way to Earth. This is what adds to the intrigue of the story.

The Baby Batman vs. the Baby Superman

As previously stated, a regularly occurring punchline in these comic strips involves Superman inadvertently wounding his superhero mates. More specifically, when he fails to recognize his own power while performing mundane tasks such as assisting his friends who are choking.

Lucas Nascimento

This incredibly cute comic strip shows that the issue gets addressed even when Superman and Batman were small kids. The miniature Dark Knight’s first match of patty cake goes terribly wrong! This was genuinely the “early hours of fairness for the protagonists.” It’s a lot of fun to watch these small, cute fights. Also, a fantastic forewarning for all future battles and fights.

Poor Spiderman!

The lives of Batman and Spiderman are depicted in one of Nascimento’s cartoons. The hilarious difference in living styles is quite noticeable. The comic describes Batman as having multiple costume options, whereas Spiderman does not. Whenever Batman got into a fight and his costume was ripped off, he returns to his closet and changes into a different outfit.

Lucas Nascimento

In this comic, Spiderman, on the other hand, is seen sewing his own uniform. He’ll have to patch any holes in his uniform if he makes any. He wears his tattered costume on occasion.

Shield is gone!

Combining these two Marvel superheroes is a lot of fun to read about. Spiderman is having fun with Captain America’s shield in these comic strips. Spiderman is always having a good time with other superhero gadgets in comic books.

Lucas Nascimento

Spiderman was ice sliding with Captain America’s shield in this scene. He didn’t tell Captain America about it before he took it. As a result, Captain America searches the closet for his shield. This amusing banter between them will keep the reader interested in the comic and encourage them to read more of it.

Two Carpets

Comic series mostly show all the funny crossover between different movies and characters. In this picture, Alladin and Jasmine are traveling by their flying carpet. At the same time, Doctor Strange is also flying. Isn’t it odd? How come Doctor Strange is flying with Aladdin and Jasmine?

Lucas Nascimento

It looks very strange to the reader of the comic! Alladin and Jasmine’s expression when they looked over at their flying neighbor! The writer wanted the same expression from the reader. Nobody can imagine having Marvel heroes in Disney! But comic strips make it happen. Both of the characters are on one page in two magic carpets.

Please open the door

The reader will be glued to the book because of the entire comic crossover. All of the characters are grouped together in one series. They are presented to participate in all of the entertaining activities. In this particular scenario, Superman wants to use the bathroom. He was knocking on the door repeatedly.

Where Batman was showering but didn’t bother to open the door. Batman was so unconcerned throughout the scene that the readers found the entire Superman situation quite amusing. It was so funny how Superman held him and did not pee outside the bathroom.

That hits the spot!

Several scenes in the comic strips lead the reader to believe that what they are reading is for real. The majority of the situation is far too realistic to comprehend. The Thing, for example in this image, is getting a massage after a long day!

Most people get hand massages, but the masseuse, in this case, uses a drill to relax him. Hand massages are insufficient to calm him down; he requires something more powerful. It’s certainly unusual to look at.

His wife is resourceful with the diaper in this situation. Chi-Chi, Son Goku’s wife, cut a hole in his diaper so he could put his tail through it. See how beautiful Superman is!

It is quite interesting to watch how all the superheroes interact. In the comic series, they always pull pranks on each other. While Superman was asleep, the other superheroes, mainly Flash, were drawing on his face. His lips were red, and his blushes were on point. He was on par with Wonder Woman.

Lucas Nascimento

They started by applying Wonder Woman’s makeup to Superman’s face. They also put the crown on him and were taking pictures of him as well. It was a fun thing to do with each other. Hopefully, Superman will like his new look.

We have to go!

The love-hate relationship between Batman and Catwoman was always depicted in the comic series. It was always fascinating to see their comic strip conversions. Nascimento attempted to portray these two characters in a variety of hilarious ways.

Lucas Nascimento

They’re conversing amid the chaos in this instance. Superman attempts to convince Batman that they must leave to save people from a fiery explosion. He was having a conversation with Catwoman. It’s pretty amusing to see how unconcerned Batman is about talking to this lady, especially considering Superman’s constant pounding on the phone booth.

Who put this here!

As mentioned above, this is how the superheroes in these comic strips play practical jokes on each other. Every prank has its own enjoyment. Despite the fact that it appears to the reader to be entertaining and enjoyable.

The superhero team of Superman and Batman has become a cultural icon. The entire comic is dedicated to how they torment each other by playing practical jokes on each other. In this scenario, Super was getting up from his bed in the morning. But what Batman did was he put a lego on this floor. As a result, whenever Superman steps on the ground, he steps on it and suffers the consequences.

Let’s eat the spaghetti

On the other hand, Spiderman is much shorter and slimmer than the Hulk. Watching the Incredible Hulk is always entertaining. Walking or talking with other superheroes, everyone treats him as if he were a giant baby. In the comic, he does things like this to draw attention to himself. Like the way, he almost ate Spiderman here!

The mother’s command

Superheros seem to carry a good relationship with their parents! It was pretty explicit in the comics and movies. This is understandable, considering they are also human beings like the rest of us! It’s always a joy to read about the mother-superhero relationship.

This is a classic illustration of a mother’s role as a mother. Even if they grow up to be Spiderman, the mother’s children will always be children to her. Spiderman was assisting his mother with her sewing in this scene. It’s fascinating to see how Spiderman took a break and handed over the wool to knit the handkerchief.

Time for the big battle

As we always imagine, superheroes do all the stunts and big fights with one another. We see it as if it is happening for real. All those actions move, breaking buildings and stuff and using giant weapons. It is pretty cool to watch all of that. But in comic books, writers present those fights differently.

Lucas Nascimento

Here they replace those action scenes with a pillow fight. Iron Man and Captain America fight with each other by using a pillow. The other fellow superheroes are also doing the same thing. Throwing a pillow is the ultimate move for the comic characters.

It is occasionally depicted in comic books how superheroes experience nightmares. The traumatic events they are subjected to at times are proof of this. During their sleep, every superhero has a vision of their worst nightmare. It’s understandable to have nightmares like that.

The situation in this particular case is when Aquaman saw himself being eaten alive as sushi! This is because he spends most of his time in the sea and is constantly fighting a sea monster, so it’s natural that he imagines himself as almost a fish on occasions. And so he has visions like this!

Need the light

As we previously mentioned, Superheroes often use their power or weapon to do their work. To present it accurately, the writer has shown multiple silly examples. Here Ironman wants to read his book, but he got no light from his suit.

Workplace Hazard

We are back with another spiderman comic. Because who can get enough of his antics, right? Don’t we love how clumsy he is most of the time? Most of the time, we don’t even realize how he manages to always make things right after making them worse in the first place.

Hulk Must Be Furious
